Client — Champlain College
During the Summer of 2018, I had the opportunity to be a Videographer and Editor for the Champlain College Marketing Department. Adding up to about ten hours per week, I created a variety of content over the summer ranging from testimonials for our Emergent Media MFA program to editing a fast-paced video from our May 2018 commencement ceremony. The videos I chose to show here represent a fraction of the work I completed this summer.
My biggest project of the summer was to help update our annual "Countdown to Champlain" video. In the past, the video highlighted ten things that happen during the last ten days before orientation begins. While our footage was very outdated and our team was having trouble coming up with fresh ideas of how to update the footage and with what subjects, I pitched a concept for a narrative-based short film that highlighted a First Year preparing for their first year at Champlain, and a Senior preparing for their last year at Champlain. I was allowed to then produce and film the video on my own and was given full creative control over the larger aspects of the project. The final result, seen here, was shared across all forms of Champlain social media as well as emailed out to all incoming First Years and their families two days before orientation began.
